Flora Saddle to Karamea
This eight day trip started at Flora Saddle near Mt Arthur. The route follows the Flora stream to the Tablelands, here we detoured to Ballon Hut and climbed Mt Peel to get a view of the Cobb Valley.
From the Tablelands the track drops down into the Leslie Valley and follows this to its junction with the Karamea River.

Two days further up the Karamea river the track meets the Wangapeka track at the junction of the Taipo valley. We spent a day in the area and climbed over Biggs Tops and dropped down onto the Wanapeka Saddle then came back via the Hidden Valley to the Karamea valley. We followed up the Taipo river, over the Wanganui Saddle and out down the Little Wanganui river.
