Stewart Island Starting at Christmas Village hut we climbed Mt Anglem before going to Bungaree - Port William and Oban. We spent a further week looking around the Paterson Inlet area - December 2004.
South Coast and Viaducts A great two day trip following along the old timber railway line-easy walking though wet and muddy underfoot. Amazing views of the railway viaducts - December 2004
Dusky Sound to Lake Hauroko in Fiordland A trip we have wanted to do for some time. Two fine days made pleasant tramping from Supper Cove to Loch Maree and Lake Roe before the rain started - December 2004.
Mt Tapuae-O-Uenuku This is the highest peak north of the Mt Cook area. Mt Tapuae-O-Uenuku in the Inland Kaikouras is 2884 metres high (9462 feet) - climbed November 2004.
Lake Angelus in Winter Situated in Nelson Lakes National Park, Lake Angelus is a lovely spot nestled at the southern end of the Mt Robert Ridge. In winter the lakes are frozen and covered in snow - July 2004
The Three Passes Starting in Waimakariri Valley in Arthurs Pass National Park this trip crosses three passes - Harman, Whitehorn and Browning. The trip finishes at Lake Kanieri on the West Coast - March 2004
The Richmond Range The Richmond Range is just south west of Nelson stretching south to near Lake Rotoiti. This trip was done during Easter 2003.
The Dragons Teeth The Dragons Teeth is a great trip in a rugged part of the the Kahurangi National Park. A trip of many lakes. Lake Cobb, Lonely Lake, Adelaide Tarn and Bolder Lake. Good navigation skills are needed. March 2002.
The Dart-Rees Valleys These two valleys make great tramping with good mountain views and pleasant tramping. We did side trips to Cascade Saddle and to Kea basin. Christmas 2001 with friends Marianne and Murray.
The Wilkin, Siberia and Young Valleys Some of New Zealand's most beautiful hiking. The Upper Wilkin is my favourite NZ valley. The Siberia Valley branches off the Wilkin and links to the Young Valley by Gillespie Pass. Christmas 2001 with friends Marianne and Murray and Dave the porter
The Leslie - Karamea - Wangapeka Valleys Starting at Flora Saddle, with side trips to Mt Peel and Biggs Tops, this is a pleasant 6 day trip - March 2000.
Lewis Pass to Lake Rotoiti This eight day tramp starts at the Lewis Pass and goes via Ada Pass, the Waiau Valley and Waiau Pass to Lake Constance and Blue Lake and then via the Sabine Valley and Traverse Saddle to Lake Rotoiti - March 1999.
